Place-based Field Studies

We invite local organisations (based in SE BC) that are involved in environmental education to submit a proposal to take conference participants on a field study to a local place that showcases examples of place-based learning. These will take place from 1:00pm – 5:00pm on Saturday, October 20. Busing will be provided, but field study sites need to be within 50km of St. Eugene Mission Resort. Field Studies can be 1 hour, 2 hours, or 3 hours in length (not including travel time). If it is less than 3 hours, we may combine with other field study proposals of a similar nature, or in a similar geographic area. If funding allows, we may be able to cover the cost of supplies or materials that are necessary for your field-study, or provide a small honorarium. You are not required to register for the conference in order to present. However, you will be offered reduced rates, and can access scholarships if you require them, as we would love to have you at the conference!
