Sign the Environmental Education Petition to Parliament

At recent meetings of EECOM, the North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE), and the World Environmental Education Congress (WEEC), a group of EECOM members and Canadian educators considered the need for a more organized national focus on environmental and sustainability education. Through a process involving many practitioners, scholars, and students, and through the offices of the Leader of the Green Party of Canada, Elizabeth May MP, a petition has been produced that can be presented to the House of Commons.

Clean Foundation’s EnviroEd program brings a team of environmental superheroes, puppets and scientists to inspire kids and teens of all ages to become advocates for a sustainable future – a future that will be in their hands. Younger children engage with interactive, puppet-centered theatre presentations, where humour, rhymes, and songs give them the tools and confidence to make a difference in their world. Clean Water and Clean Energy Schools give teachers and older children hands-on opportunities to explore innovative technologies and the impact their choices can make on the climate change challenge. Click here to find out why EnviroEd is much more than a special guest parachuting into a classroom!
